Meek Mill's House Arrest Extended...Because He Volunteered At The Wrong Places
Meek Mill just can't win.
TMZ reports that Meek just had his house arrest extended after unintentionally disobeying the judge's orders.
According to sources close to the rapper, he will have to serve an additional 8 days of house arrest because he completed his community service at the wrong places.
TMZ reports that the original court order specified that Meek was to complete 90 days of community service by volunteering with the homeless, Habitat for Humanity, senior citizens, and veterans. Meek's team claim that was never specified, and so even though Meek did put in some time at homeless shelters, he also spent a lot of time talking to students at local schools and raising awareness about the Flint water crisis.
Meek's house arrest was originally scheduled to end yesterday, but the additional 8 days were tacked on to give him time to complete the required volunteer work, after which time the District Attorney's office will reevaluate.
