New Book Claims That Kris Jenner Leaked Kim's Sex Tape To Make Her Famous
According to a new celeb tell-all, the release of Kim's sex tape was a family decision.
Is Kris Jenner more of a strategic mastermind than we ever thought possible? A new book says yes.
An explosive new tell-all by celebrity investigative journalist Ian Halperin alleges that the 2007 sex tape leak that ultimately led to Kim K's rise to fame wasn't released against her will after all; according to Halperin, ultimate momager Kris Jenner orchestrated the deal from the get-go.
"A mutual friend of Kim and Paris [Hilton] had advised [Kim] that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go... Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand," reads an excerpt from Kardashian Dynasty on Page Six.
Halperin went on to claim that a former friend of Kim's told him that it was Kris who orchestrated the deal "behind the scenes" and that Kim's mom is the one who's actually responsible for the tape "seeing the light of day".
Halperin even went undercover to prove his claims; after posing as someone looking to sell a celeb sex tape, he was told by a Vivid spokesperson, (the same company that released Kim's video), that both parties needed to sign off in order for a celeb sex tape to be released. When Halperin asked how Kim's tape wound up being released, the rep said the tape was brought to them by a third party, at which point they contacted the Kardashian family and at some point a deal was made.
A rep from Kim's camp stated that Halperin's claims are false, but you can read all the tea for yourself when Kardashian Dynasty hits shelves on April 19th.
