Nicki Minaj is over the conspiracy theories.
The "No Frauds" rapper recently teamed up with Cardi B and Migos for "MotorSport," and while the song's been pretty well-received by hip hop fans, there have been questions about how Nicki and Cardi came to be on the same track, with some theorizing that Nicki was unaware that Cardi would also be featured on the song when she recorded her part.
The truth is much simpler than that, though. Nicki took to Twitter on Tuesday and put the rumors to rest.
"I was on the song w/Quavo," she wrote in a series of tweets. "No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said 'ok let's do it'. The end."
"Migos weren't even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me," she continued. "Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me. It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval."
"These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go. They don't do this to male M.C.s. But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio," she added.
