Nicki Minaj And Meek Mill Go Heavy On PDA For GQ
After reading the interview, it's pretty hard not to like Meek.
It looks like Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill (Micki? Neek?) are going strong. Their summer may have been filled with social media rap beefs and VMA drama, but they regret nothing. The hip hop power couple sat down with GQ for a joint interview and a steamy photoshoot, and the results were interesting, to say the least.
For starters, Nicki revealed that her mother was the only one who didn't approve of their relationship in the beginning (well, probably Drake too, but Nicki left that part out). Apparently, Nicki's mother wasn't sure whether Meek was a nice guy the way he's portrayed in the media. Nicki shared that her mom came around and is now #TeamMeek.
The GQ interview included a lot of interesting tidbits. When asked who their dream double date would be, Nicki and Meek answered the way any couple would by naming Beyonce and Jay Z. They also said Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats, but come on, how awesome would it be to do anything with Jay and Bey? Beyonce and Nicki probably aren't allowed to be in the same room too often though - as proven by the "Flawless (Remix)" music video, it would just be too much slayage going on in one place.
After reading the interview, it's pretty hard not to like Meek. Plenty of men out there are intimidated by successful women, and Lord knows Nicki is on top of the game right now. Still, that didn't cause Meek any hesitation when it came to pursuing her (and it shouldn't have). When Nicki asked what he likes about her, he responds: "That you was a hustler. That you were doing your thing. A lot of people coming up. People don’t really have a girlfriends that’s doing more than them or the same thing. I like girls that hustle. She a boss. She’s pretty as f***. Bad as f***. Ambitious. What else do you want?"
Exactly, Meek. Meek shows just how comfortable is in his relationship in the behind-the-scenes video that's currently streaming on GQ's website; Meek is all over her, and Nicki definitely isn't complaining. Catch the full interview and see more photos (screengrab below) over on GQ's website.
