Paris Hilton is speaking out about her past, including her regrets.
In a new interview with Marie Claire, the heiress opened up about the sex tape she made with her ex Rick Salomon in 2003, which was later distributed without her consent. It was the release of that tape that deterred her dreams in a major way, she explained.
"It's really hurtful, because my whole life I really looked up to Princess Diana, all these elegant, amazing women, and I feel like [Salomon] just took that all away from me," she said. "I could have been like that, but because of that tape, I will always be judged and thought of as whatever they say about me because of a private moment between my boyfriend and me."
Paris regrets ever meeting her ex, telling the magazine, "I wish I had never met him. That is actually the one regret in my life. I wish that I had never met that guy. I could not leave my house for months. I was so depressed, humiliated. I didn't want to be seen in public."
Those days seem far behind her, though; Paris has moved on to happier times and better boyfriends. USA Today reports that Hilton is currently seeing actor/model Chris Zylka, who she referred to as "the one" while walking the red carpet with him back in April.
