7 Facts About Bullying in School and Social Media

The school shooting alleged to have perpetrated by suspect Nikolas Cruz at Florida's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last week has left many searching for answers, including celebrities like Cardi B, who recently took to social media to join the conversation on how the nation can move forward into a future where such horrifying occurrences are far less common.

In a video posted to her Instagram page over the weekend, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper theorized that bullying may be a root cause of school shootings.

"The school shooter never looks like the jock, the cheerleader or the popular kid. It always looks like a kid that looks a little bit socially awkward," she said. "I feel like one of the best ways to prevent these type of tragedies is to stop picking on these kids. Stop bullying these kids. The devil speaks to you the most when you feel helpless."

Shit be so sad .The devil really be busy .

In the wake of the Parkland shooting, a number of students who survived Cruz's attack are calling for national gun violence reform.

"They say that criminals get guns no matter what laws you have in place. That might be true, but we don't have to encourage them to get those guns," one student, Emma Gonzalez, told CNN. "We can make it harder ... and we can prevent some seriously nasty crimes and some seriously indescribable tragedies from occurring. And if somebody doesn't want to do that at this point, that's pathetic."
