Rihanna Just Launched Her Own Scholarship Program
Imagine if your favorite singer paid for your entire college education.
Rihanna is one of the most iconic pop stars of our generation, and now she's using her considerable power for good.
The "Work" singer has announced the launch of her new Global Scholarship Program; the program falls under the umbrella of her Clara Lionel Foundation, a nonprofit organization Rih launched in 2012 in honor of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
The scholarship was created to assist international students hoping to study abroad. To be eligible, students must hail from Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, or Riri's native Barbados, and be planning to attend college in the United States. Awards range from $5,000 to $50,000, and can be renewed for up to 3 years; so theoretically, Rihanna could pay for your entire college education.
