Rob Kardashian has taken a turn for the worse. The reclusive reality star was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Sources tell TMZ that Rob—who has been publicly battling health issues—didn’t feel well over the weekend and was taken to a hospital in L.A.
TMZ shares that he's still in the hospital as of yesterday and he’s stable. While Type 2 diabetes is very common in the U.S. (about 9 percent of the population suffers from the disease), sources said his condition could have led to a diabetic coma if he had not been treated. Sources close to the Kardashian family also said this was a wake up call and Rob wants to start the new year on a healthy note.
Rob has been noticeably absent from the public eye for several months. The 28-year-old was seen in June at an In-N-Out fast food restaurant looking noticeably heavier. On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the family has referenced Rob's erratic behavior and weight gain. Various family members, including Khloe Kardashian, have said that his issues stem from their father’s 2003 death and her divorce from Lamar Odom.
