A man accused of attacking and attempting to rape a bikini barista in Kent, Washington was arrested this week, thanks to viewer tips the police department received after releasing footage of his crimes to the public.

A 30-year-old bikini barista at a Hottie Shots Espresso stand told police that the man walked up to the window at around 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday to order a drink. When she began filling his order, he reportedly climbed in through the window and threatened her with a knife before forcing her into a nearby dark alley. He took off after getting spooked by another car pulling up to the stand, the News Tribune reports. The incident left the barista with scratches and bruises.

"We've been robbed a couple times as well," the unidentified barista's co-worker told KIRO-7, adding, "If somebody ever wants something in here, we assume it's the money. This was much more terrifying."

After authorities released footage as well as a description of the attacker, 33-year-old Michael Reynolds was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of assault and attempted rape. Reynolds was released from prison in September, KIRO 7 reports, after serving ten years for robbery and burglary.

"We want to thank everyone that called in and identified this violent offender; our streets are safer because of each of you," Detective Melanie Robinson told KCPQ.
