We wrote a while back that Soulja and Chris planned to fight on Pay-Per-View — thanks to Floyd Mayweather, who agreed to promote the fight and train Soulja Boy — but apparently things aren't going fast enough for SB because he announced on Twitter that he's going to do it all himself now, XXL Mag reports.
"YALL KNOW WHAT IM THROWING THE FIGHT," Soulja Boy wrote (and later deleted) in a series of tweets. "THESE N*GGAZ TAKING TOO LONG F*CK THIS SH*T YOU NEED TICKETS HIT ME IM RUNNING THE SHOW. IM RENTING THE VENUE. IM SETTING THE DATE. IM SELLING THE TICKETS. THIS WILL BE A SOULJA BOY PROMOTION. HIT ME FOR TICKETS THEY ON SALE NOW. THE FIGHT WILL GO DOWN IN MARCH HIT ME FOR TICKETS. BIG SOULJA PROMOTIONS."
A Soulja Boy promotion? Is anyone else picturing Soulja selling $20 tickets to watch him and Chris wrestle around in an overcrowded backyard somewhere? But anyway.
Apparently he's not kidding around, because he announced that he'll begin promoting the fight soon, writing, "I will give an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live about the upcoming Fight, And my new Tour, and TV Show update."
It looks like he's serious about this, sadly enough. The ridiculousness continues.
