T-Pain is going to blow your mind. The "rappa ternt sanga" has a discography of hits but you've probably been singing them totally wrong. As BET shares, T-Pain took to Twitter to clarify all the song lyrics that his fans have been misquoting for years.
On his hit “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin)," Pain says that fans have often mistaken "ooh wee" for what is really "and then" in the chorus. One fan wasn't buying it. "I refuse to believe this. 'And then' doesn't even rhyme with the following line, 'I'mma take you home with me.'"
The Auto-Tune crooner also shook up the lyrics to DJ Khaled's anthemic "All I Do Is Win." “I don’t wanna throw another wrench in your childhood but also it’s 'Everybody hands go UP……… and they stay there……… AND THEY SAY YEAH,' he wrote. Most fans sing "stay there" again.
"listening back ASAP cause now i feel like my life is a lie," said DJ Dillon Francis.
"T-Pain ruined my childhood so I’ll never listen to that song again," tweeted one fan. "T-Pain ruined my childhood all for some attention," added another. Others were more understanding. "Running late to class bc buy you a drank was in the radio and I was trynna sing it the way T-Pain said was the right way," shared a corrected fan.
