This Guy Makes Brilliant Cosplay Costumes From Cheap Household Items
Performance art on a budget.
Comic-Con hits San Diego next week and fans from around the world will be there wearing their favorite comic and superhero costumes. Low on funds? No problem. This cosplay guy takes regular household objects and turns them into pretty cool (and super cheap) costumes.
Lowcost Cosplay (a.k.a. Anucha "Cha" Saengchart) is a master of disguises. 9gag shows how he takes everyday items you probably already have laying around the house and turns them into superheroes, cartoons and movie characters. Check out how he turns himself into Donald Duck using a bag of potato chips and face paint.
Or, how he tranforms into Ariel from The Little Mermaid, by taping together a bra and throwing a red t-shirt on his head.
A free Batman keychain (which appears to have come from a pizza snack) and a ton of masking tape can be made into the Dark Knight!
Some fanboys and fangirls may find the looks totally off--or even terrible-- but you have to admit, he's pretty ingenius. Who else thinks of turning a headful of gelled hair into a helmet? Even after Comic Con, his hair will be on point.
