Toni Braxton was reportedly in the hospital with complications from lupus for four days. Lupus is a chronic auto-immune disease that can cause inflammation in your joints, skin and internal organs. Obviously, it can be quite painful. The singer was originally in Atlanta, but flew to Los Angeles for treatment.
Braxton is home now and her reps said in a statement to ABC News, “Toni is resting at home and she is fine. She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days being treated for her lupus… She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week. She was not in serious condition, though lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times.”
Braxton’s boyfriend Birdman jumped on a plane to get to her, so even though she’s recovering, it sounds like the experience was scary enough to send her loved ones running to the airport. Here’s hoping she makes a speedy recovering, because I really want to see that tour.
