Tracy Morgan And Jordan Peele Are Teaming Up For A Comedy Pilot
Morgan will star, while Peele will work behind-the-scenes as a writer.
Key and Peele may have ended last year, but your favorite comedy duo aren't sitting around twiddling their thumbs. Their feature film debut Keanu is set to hit theaters this April, and Jordan will be teaming up with comedy legend Tracy Morgan for a comedy pilot on FX.
Variety reports that Morgan will star as career criminal struggling to reenter society after 15 years behind bars, while Peele will be join John Carcieri (whose past work includes Eastbound & Down) behind-the-scenes in the writing room. Filming for the pilot will begin this summer; the network will decide later whether or not to order a full season.
"What an unbeatable combination – Tracy Morgan and Jordan Peele – two exceptional comics joining forces with a great team of writers and producers to create and produce this pilot for FX Networks," Nick Grad, president of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions told Variety. "We've been committed to Tracy from the start and are thrilled that Jordan, John, Eric and Joel are joining him in developing this new project."
