Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are okay. Over the weekend, rumors began to spread that the Los Angeles Police Department had to respond to a home invasion incident at the celebrity couple's home on Saturday. False alarm.
According to US Weekly, the Southern California Monitoring Association's Twitter account claimed it received notification that there was an intruder at the home. The account then said that the person and a housekeeper were shot and police were on the scene. "Appears Kim Kardashian home is victim of SWATTING call. Officers did breach door to enter," the account wrote.
A swatting call is a prank call on emergency services. Police told US that they did not respond to such a call, refuting the swat claim. "They did not respond to any call like this today."
In 2013, Kim faced an actual swat incident in which cops were brought to her mom's home. Following that, she spoke out about such fake calls: "These prank calls are NOT funny! People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. Its dangerous & not a joke!"
