Whoopi Goldberg Is Getting Into The Weed Business. Ka-ching!
The actress has big plans to market medical marijuana products to women.
As marijuana becomes legal in more and more states, it's become a booming business, one that Whoopi Goldberg is hoping to break into.
The actress/talk show host announced earlier this week that she'll be teaming up with weed entrepreneur Maya Elisabeth to produce her own line of marijuana-infused products for women. "Whoopi and Maya" will offer women a creative solution for menstrual pain: balms, tinctures, sipping chocolate, and bath salts, all infused with cannabis.
"This was all inspired by my own experience from a lifetime of difficult periods and the fact that cannabis was literally the only thing that gave relief," Whoopi said in a statement to The New York Times.
"Whoopi and Maya" products won't hit shelves for another several weeks, and due to legal restrictions, will only be available, for now, in California to residents who have a medical marijuana card.
