You Have Four Minutes To Drink Coffee In A Cone
The most Instagram-famous coffee out there comes with serious caveats.
There's no better way to end dinner than with coffee and ice cream. Genius barista Dayne Levinrad has combined the two into what's possibly the world's most popular coffee: Coffee in a Cone.
According to CNN, the idea to serve coffee inside of a chocolate ice cream cone started in January at Levinrad's cafe in South Africa. People are going crazy for it. With the help of social media, nearly 1 million images with the hashtag #coffeeinacone have been shared.
Don't try to create Coffee in a Cone at home. Due to the heat of the coffee, a special wafer is needed. "We bought our own machine and started rolling our own wafer cones, using different flours," he says. "Now we've got the whole thing under patent. It's a very arduous process."
Although it's picture-perfect, coffee in a cone isn't for savoring. You have about four minutes to drink the liquid before the treat melts.
