Yeast Infection. Yup! That's Kesha's new band's name. And you know what: we're here for it.
Kesha has been going through a Kafkaesque procession of legal nightmares this year pertaining to allegations she made about her producer's sexual misconduct, so if homegirl needs to let off some steam by creating a quasi-feminist rock band and naming it after some genital troubles she can go right ahead.
Forming a band may or may not be one loophole out of her contractual obligations, but she nonetheless performed with the otherwise-all-male group at Nashville's Springwater Supper Club & Lounge last week. The gang put on some rousing reworks of Ke$ha classics like "Blow" and "Timber" and also sang a cover of Led Zepplin's "Whole Lotta Love" (which, quite frankly, is nowhere near as cool as Kesha's actual music).
Our Lady Of Unicorn Lazer Battles shared a video of the performance on Instagram with a caption that reads "No matter what, no one will ever stop me from making noise. Never let anyone take ur happiness. That’s the only way they beat u. Never let them win. Love u all.”
