We said goodbye to Rudy on Episode 2, when his peacock cover-up didn't meet the judge's standards. In his exit interview, Rudy tells us that he wouldn't do anything different...except, of course, stop time. Scroll down to read the full Q&A with Rudy and find out how he feels about his work on Best Ink, and see what he's been up to since!
What have you been up to since filming Best Ink?
Continuing to grow my studio Dallas Tattoo & Art Co. I have also started a clothing line called Dollars Taxes Cents, which is the merchandise brand for the studio.
Of course I don't agree with getting eliminated. But, it's a TV Show and I have to respect the judges' decisions.
[embed:render:file:334836:full]Describe the challenges of completing your cover-up tattoo (see left.)
Completing a multiple sitting piece that would normally take up to 10+ hours, in only five hours.
If you could go back and do the tattoo differently, would you?
No, I would not have done anything different...other than pause the clock and be able to give the piece the correct time needed. My skin was extremely happy with her tattoo and design.
What did you take away from your experience on Best Ink?
I had a blast being a part of Best Ink. It was surreal and amazing experience. I gained awesome friends, great connections, and lifetime memories!
What’s in your tattooing future?
The sky is the limit for my future. I am going to take my art and passion as far as I can and then some! I work every day to be better than the last! Keep posted with my art and watch for yourself!!
Tune into a new episode of 'Best Ink 3' airing next Wednesday at 10/9c!
