Valerie Fairman, the 23-year-old mother from the MTV reality show “16 And Pregnant,” was found dead from an apparent overdose in a friend’s bathroom on Wednesday, TMZ is reporting.
TMZ, which spoke to Fairman’s mother, said that Fairman died at a friend’s house in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Valerie was in the bathroom and didn’t respond to calls from her friend, who eventually broke down the door to find the young woman unresponsive.
A coroner is still conducting tests to determine the cause of death, but Fairman’s family said that it appears to be an overdose. Fairman’s use of drugs was depicted on the MTV reality show.
Her 7-year-old daughter Nevaeh is living with Fairman's mother.
Other stars from the show tweeted to express their condolences. "How incredibly sad. My heart goes out to her daughter and family," Chelsea DeBoer wrote.
"This really upsets me. Thanks for letting me know. I told her to stay on track," Jenelle Evans said in response to DeBoer's tweet.
