Three people were shot Monday night at a vigil meant to honor a teen killed by a stray bullet. The shooting broke out at around 8 p.m. at a the vigil for 18-year-old Myneisha Johnson, according to CBS News.
CBS affiliate WREG reported that Johnson was killed by a stray bullet in 2016 in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. She was a young mother of a one-year-old child and was scheduled to graduate high school. The vigil was to honor the one-year anniversary of her death.
Witnesses said as soon as they started lighting candles for the slain teen, two cars pulled up and began shooting. One witness told WREG she heard around 20 gunshots.
One of the gunshot victims is in critical condition and two others suffered non-life threatening injuries.
As of now, there have been no arrests.
