A 39-year-old man was arrested for luring an Australian teen on Snapchat to fly to America and subsequently, have a sexual relationship. According to the NY Daily News, the Queens man and runaway girl were apprehended by police last week.
Sean Price and the teen met on Snapchat seven months ago. According to court papers, he wired her $1,500 last December. He flew to Los Angeles on April 10 and she arrived the next day. Price said he was aware of the girl's age but nonethless, they had a sexual relationship as they drove east.
NYPD came to Price's mother's house in Queens last week. She claimed the couple wasn't around but authorities found them attempting to leave through a back door and then running back inside. They were captured in the basement.
The teen told authorities that Price never forced her into exchanging sex for money. She went to lengths not to be found; apparently mailing her cell phone’s SIM card to New York.
Price has a lengthy criminal past including 27 prior arrests. He was arraigned on Friday for federal charges relating to transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.
