Four women have been charged with the murder of a man who helped them change a flat tire. According to Fox 13, the four women from Memphis and Nashville have been charged with connection to a homicide that happened on August 1 in Wilson City, Missouri.
Brittany Curry, 28, Ponesha Taylor, 23, Johniesha Simmons, 19 and Lauteshia Dotson, 23, have been charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. The women are believed to be adult entertainers.
The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Ralph Cross. Apparently, he offered to buy them a new tire because they had a flat. He then invited them back to his home while he fixed the tire. Cross' body was discovered at the home, and the four women were the last people seen there.
Authorities share that a 9mm handgun may have been involved in the incident. Cross died of a gunshot wound to the back.
Acting Mississippi County Sheriff Branden Caid shares that robbery may have been the motive. A witness saw the women arguing with Cross prior to hearing a noise.
The women turned themselves in on August 3, following media coverage of the crime.
