Medical staff employees have been trained to take care of their patients' health. And, most of them do. But the doctors, nurses and assistants in these five cases did not have anybody's health in mind when they committed these disturbing crimes.
1. Brain surgeon and two nurses molest children together.
Santa Cruz neurosurgeon James Kohut and nurses Rashel Melina Brandon and Emily Joy Stephens were arrested back in May. According to KSBW, three children were sexually assaulted, including a 3-year-old boy, a 5-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy. Per the arrest warrant, the married neurosurgeon also had affairs with Brandon and Stephens, and the children were abused during some of these sexual interactions.
The disturbing sex acts were discovered after Brandon's husband found a tape showing her and Stephens committing graphic sex acts against children.

A Las Vegas doctor found guilty of drugging and raping unconscious patients told jurors back in May that he had a “Sleeping Beauty fetish,” according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Binh “Ben” Chung’s wife went to police in 2015 after she discovered cell phone videos of him groping and raping unconscious patients. One such patient was a 16-year-old girl being treated for acne, according to the Associated Press. Other patients he sexually assaulted included women who made appointments with Chung for sore shoulders, anxiety and stress.
4. Nurse beat and bit newborn.
A 4-day-old baby was beaten and bitten by a nurse in Bulgaria in 2015. The disturbing attack was captured on video.
Emiliya Kovacheva repeatedly beat a baby girl after her crying woke up the other babies that were being cared for in the hospital. She was charged with attempted murder according to Bulgarian media. Reportedly, she originally denied hitting the baby -- who miraculously survived and did not suffer permanent damage -- but confessed after it was revealed she was caught on camera.
5. Gymnastics doctor sexually abuses over 100 patients.
Larry Nassar, a former USA Gymnastics doctor plead guilty to federal child pornography charges earlier this year. As part of that plea deal, Nassar wasn’t prosecuted for charges of sexual exploitation of children or for allegations of molestation of children.
According to NBC affiliate WOOD-TV, a GoPro that featured Nassar allegedly molesting girls in a pool was confiscated by the FBI.
The doctor was also accused of sexually abusing more than 100 of his female patients, including former Olympians and national team members. Women had filed criminal and/or civil complaints alleging sexual abuse and other misconduct claims dating back to at least 1994.
