7 Stars You Didn't Know Were Recently Arrested

It might shock you to find out that these celebrities were all arrested in the last year.

It turns out some of your favorite celebrities were arrested in the last year--and you probably didn’t even know about it. As we gear up to Oxygen’s premiere of Three Days To Live on Sunday, March 5 at 9/8c, we’re taking a look at some of the crimes that landed these stars in hot water. Three Days To Live documents the crucial 72 hours following an abduction, and luckily, none of the celebs on this list were charged with anything as rotten as kidnapping another person. Some of these arrests might, however, shock you. Here are eight stars you didn’t know were recently arrested.

1. Soulja Boy

Police found two illegal guns in rapper Soulja Boy’s home late last year, but he wasn’t charged until January this year when he was caught with a stolen gun--which was once police property--in his possession. He’s pleaded not guilty.

2. Chief Keef

It’s not a great start to the year for your favorite rappers, with Chief Keef arrested on January 26, for robbery. Keef allegedly robbed his former music producer, Ramsay Tha Great, after storming into his home flanked by a group of people brandishing AK-47s.

3. Shia LaBeouf

Adding to the list of rappers (LOL) arrested this year, Shia LeBeouf (also weirdly on January 26) punched a neo-Nazi (who was engaging in provocative hate speech) in the face. The whole thing was recorded on a live stream video art project LeBeouf has set up to protest the Trump presidency, and led to him being charged with misdemeanor assault, although the last time we watched Indiana Jones we’re pretty sure punching Nazis was allowed.

4. The Founders of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream

You might not know Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield but their ice cream is a celebrity of the freezer section. The pair were arrested (along with 300 other protesters) in April 2016 while protesting at the U.S. Capitol. They were processed, charged with crowding, obstructing and incommoding and swiftly released.

5. Wendell Pierce

The Wire actor was arrested in Atlanta in 2016 for... defending Hillary Clinton against some Bernie Sanders supporters. Wendell Pierce allegedly got into a heated argument at the Loews Atlanta hotel bar with a couple that resulted in him physically assaulting both the man and the woman. Some witnesses report the woman stepped into a fight between the two men and was hurt incidentally, rather than attacked.

6. Shailene Woodley

25-year-old Shailene Woodley was arrested during a peaceful protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline. She was charged with one count of misdemeanor criminal trespassing and one count of misdemeanor engaging in a riot. It seems that a lot of celebrities are willing to go all out for their political beliefs!

7. Nick Carter

Former baby faced Backstreet Boy was arrested in January 2016 and charged with battery after punching a bouncer. Nick Carter and a friend were cut off from the bar and asked to leave after drinking too much, and Carter was not happy about being escorted out, so he sucker punched the security guard leading him to the exit.
