A Florida man who allegedly broke into a house and burglarized the family’s belongings refused to flee the scene because he claimed zombies would have attacked him if he went outside, WKMG-TV reported.
Patrick Ray, 31, allegedly took belongings including a pink selfie stick, a Bluetooth speaker, a wallet, and house keys, according to The New York Daily News.
The homeowner woke up and reportedly found Ray going through his belongings at 3 am. Ray ran away.
He then returned just minutes later saying that he felt uncomfortable outside because “zombies [were] trying to get him,” according to a police report. The family blocked Ray from leaving until the police could arrive.
Hopefully there’s no zombies in Volusia County Jail, where Ray is being held on a $17,000 bond. He faces burglary charges.
