An armed man wearing a bulletproof vest tried to talk his way into Trump Tower to see Ivanka Trump, daughter of President Donald Trump. New York’s ABC7 reports 52-year-old Adames Benitez of The Bronx was taken into custody by Secret Service agents Thursday afternoon. Ivanka Trump was not in the luxury apartment building at the time as she is in Germany, accompanying her father in her role as an advisor during the G20 summit meeting of international leaders.

Police say Benitez told agents he was a U.S. senator and wanted to talk to Ms. Trump about her dress line, according to New York’s Daily News. He also claimed to own the building at one point. After being searched, Secret Service discovered a bulletproof vest on under his shirt. They also found two small throwing knives on him as well as a weighted sock which had been tied off, presumably to be used as makeshift blackjack.

Benitez was arrested at the scene and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a forged instrument for a fake New York State I.D. card he was in possession of. Following his arrest he was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center for a full psychiatric evaluation.
