Less than a month after she was arrested on felony grand larceny and criminal tax fraud charges, the cousin of late Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola is again in trouble with the law. According to The New York Daily News, 57-year-old Sallyann Lombardi is accused of stealing $65 worth of beef tenderloin on January 31 from a ShopRite supermarket on Staten Island, which sits directly across from a police precinct.
In early January, Lombardi was cuffed for charges related to The Drunken Monkey Bar, also on Staten Island, which she co-owned with her reality TV star cousin. Authorities say she pocketed sales tax from the bar and failed to file tax returns from 2009 and 2015. The bar, which was regularly seen on the VH1 television series, was shut down by the New York State Liquor Authority after they became aware that Raiola was a silent partner. Due to Raiola’s guilty plea in a 2003 federal drug-dealing case, state law prohibits her from owning a bar without receiving special permission from the state.
According to The New York Post, Lombardi was stopped by a ShopRite employee after she tried to walk out of the supermarket with the slab of meat hidden on her person. She was then taken to the 122 Precinct station house, where she was charged with petit larceny and given a desk-appearance ticket.
