A wildfire known as the "Hill Fire" has destroyed actor Johnny Galecki's home. The wildfire covering thousands of acres in Riverside County, California destroyed the Big Bang Theory star's ranch in the San Luis Obispo area.

According to USA Today, approximately 250 residents were told to leave their homes Monday after the fire erupted. The next night, they were told they could return home.

Galecki's rep tells CNN that he was not home at the time. The ranch that was destroyed is not the actor's primary residence.

"My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire. The threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile," the actor said in a statement given to CNN

According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the fire has burned 1,598 acres and was 65% contained as of last night.
