On Sunday, the body of a missing 22-year-old pregnant woman was discovered after kayakers noticed a body wrapped in a plastic-like material, hung on a log on a river.
Savanna Greywind of Fargo, North Dakota has been missing since August 19. She was eight months pregnant.
Greywind was last seen at her apartment building when she modeled a dress for a female neighbor, Valley News Live reported. Last week, police arrested two neighbors, a man and a woman after the woman was found with what is thought to be Greywind’s baby, according to the International Business News.
William Hoehn, 32, and Brooke Crews, 38, reportedly hinted to the police that the baby was Greywind’s. However, they couldn’t tell police where Greywind was.
Both have been charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping. According to KFGO, DNA testing is conducted to confirm the baby is Greywind’s.
Fargo Police Chief David Todd is investigating possible scenarios, including theories that Greywind’s child was removed from her womb and that labor was induced.
Greywind lived with her parents and 16-year-old brother in the same apartment building. She worked as a nursing assistant at a senior citizens residence. She and her boyfriend had been together for 7 years.
