A Bronx boy stabbed and scared off a home intruder that viciously attacked his mom.
According to an NBC affiliate, the 11-year-old boy was home with his mom and 4-year-old brother last week when a man knocked at their door. The stranger claimed to have to use the bathroom.
The family didn’t let the man in, according to the report, and he kicked in the door. The mother grabbed a knife but the intruder took it away and cut her. The man was beating the woman when her son came to her rescue, according to the report. He called 911 to report a “robber in the house.” He then grabbed another knife, which and stabbed the intruder. Sources said that scared the burglar, who then fled from the home.
Both the 11-year-old and the mom suffered injuries. The mom had a cut on her hand and arm. She also suffered a bloody lip, according to the report. The boy also had a cut on his arm. His younger brother went unharmed. They were treated at a nearby hospital. Also at the hospital was the alleged burglar: 22-year-old Brian Febus. He was treated for stab wounds. According to the NBC affiliate, Febus claimed to have been in a street fight. However, the brave boy’s mother was able to identify him as the home intruder. He was then arrested.
