Brothers Caught Murdering Their Roommate After Suspicious Dirt Pile Seen In Backyard

Neighbors suspected that the house was used for drug deals, but their motive is not yet clear.

Two New Jersey brothers were indicted on charges that they killed their roommate and buried his body in their backyard, The Newark Star-Ledger reported.

Christopher Costello, 28, and his brother, Bryan Costello, 25, were investigated after a relative of their roommate, Justin Dubois, 23, reported not hearing from him.

Police obtained a search warrant and found Dubois’s body buried in a dirt pile in the Costellos's backyard. The home is owned by the two Costello brothers’s father.

Both Costello brothers are apparently unemployed, and the Star-Ledger reported that neighbors suspected that the house was used for drug deals.

It is unclear, however, what the motivation was for the killing.

The Costello brothers were charged with first degree murder, second degree desecration of human remains, and third degree hindering apprehension. They have not yet entered a plea.
