Politicians came together following the shooting at the congressional baseball practice when Bernie Sanders supporter James Hodgkinson opened fire on the field and left House Majority Whip Rep Steve Scalise critically injured. Caitlyn Jenner is speaking out about the shooting, joking that liberals can't shoot.
“Nobody deserves what happened out there,” the reality star said in a Facebook Live video posted by the College Republican Federation of Virginia, according to People. "There’s no justification for it. There’s crazy people in the world — we know that … We have to minimize that kind of stuff. But, as far as the people who were injured, it’s an absolute shame. Fortunately, the guy was a really bad shot."
The transgender star has been an outspoken Republican. “Liberals can’t even shoot straight,” she said and the audience laughed.
In the same interview, Jenner applauded Officer Griner, a lesbian who was injured trying to take down the shooter. “She did her job. She wasn’t thinking about LGBT issues, she wasn’t thinking about any of those types of things. She did her job and she did it well."
