A Houston caretaker is on the run after disturbing video of her attacking an elderly patient surfaced. According to NewsFix, an elderly woman is physically and verbally abused by her caretaker Brenda Floyd. In the video, Floyd is seen hitting and insulting the woman at the Memorial Village home because she apparently gave her dog table food.
"I told you to stop feeding that dog that human food," Floyd says. "Do you have another $4,000 to put that dog back in the hospital? Huh?" Although the frail woman says she didn't do it, Floyd is insistent. "Get that sh*t up from there. Get your ass up and go to f*cking ing bed."
Floyd has been charged with assault of an elderly/disabled person. Houston police are searching for her and there is a $5,000 reward for information leading to her arrest.
Care.com, the company which hired Floyd, has also made a statement: "This is a very disturbing matter and our thoughts are with the family. The safety of our community is of paramount importance to us, and we are cooperating with local law enforcement in this matter. Since this is the subject of an ongoing investigation, we will not comment further."
