Chris Brown is speaking out about the restraining order against him. The singer took to Instagram to reject Karruche Tran's court papers and explain that he isn't stalking his ex-girlfriend.
"I will not just accept papers from any lawyer and I will not go to court to admit guilt to further tarnish who I am," he shared. In February, Tran filed a temporary restraining against Brown to stay away from her. Per TMZ, the order ensured that Brown stay 100 yards away from his ex, her mom and her brother. The singer was formally served with court papers last week.
In his Instagram comments, Brown refuses to admit guilt over abusing Tran. "I pled guilty in the Rihanna case because I was," he said, referring to pleading guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He went on to say that Tran is using the restraining order as a play to promote her own career. "Just say away from me," he said.
According to TMZ, Tran is ready to go to court to testify against Brown over allegations of ongoing physical abuse. They broke up in 2014.
