Yesterday, we shared the news of the murder of Lisa Marie Naegle, a former contestant on the controversial reality show Bridalplasty. Now, TMZ is reporting that police have retrieved the murder weapon and bloody clothes from the scene of the crime.
Naegle went missing after attending a party with a colleague, Jackie Jerome Rogers, who became a primary suspect after a report was filed. Rogers cofessed to the murder leading police to his house where they would find Naegle's body. It has since been revealed that Naegle and Rogers were having an affair and that he murdered her when she tried to call it off.
Police have now extracted the murder weapon, a hammer, from the residence. Police also found Naegle's bloody clothes buried nearby the body. TMZ notes some oddities in the discovery, though: "law enforcement [says that] Rogers wiped Lisa Marie's body clean before burying it in his backyard. Our sources say he told cops he freaked out when he saw all the blood on her body and figured by cleaning it he would be sanitizing the crime scene."
Rogers' car was also searched for evidence. Police believe he may have killed her in that vehicle.
