Aaron Carter has had a rough week. Police visited the singer's Florida home three times in less than 24 hours after he allegedly tried to buy a gun and threatened to hurt his family.
According to PEOPLE, police were first called Tuesday morning.
According to police documents, the caller alleged that Carter was abusing drugs and alcohol and was “trying to buy a gun for the last couple of weeks.”
That same day, 29-year-old Carter allegedly rear-ended a truck, and he was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal and for operating a vehicle with an expired registration.
Police visited his home after the crash after someone called 911 to report that the former child star refused medical attention. The caller claimed Carter needed a psychiatric evaluation, according to PEOPLE.
At around 4 in the morning the next day, someone called 911 to report that Carter wasn’t in a safe mental state. They claimed he “has threatened to harm family and others.” Carter was not arrested after any of the incidents.
A representative for the singer told PEOPLE that Carter is focused on his upcoming shows.
Carter recently went through a breakup with his girlfriend Madison Parker. He appears to be distraught about the split on his Twitter feed, as recently as Friday morning.
Earlier this year, Carter was arrested for a DUI in Georgia. He also took to Twitter after that incident, expressing anger toward his Backstreet Boy brother Nick Carter.
