The body of a D.C. yoga instructor and actress who went missing on Christmas was found today, her family said on Facebook, and police said they have arrested a man in connection with her death.
Police discovered 46-year-old Tricia McCauley’s body after a tipster, who had friends who knew McCauley, saw her car parked near a CVS, according to NBC Washington. The good samaritan approached the driver and then called police for help.
Police confronted the driver in the CVS, and the suspect gave cops the car keys. Inside McCauley’s car, police found her body, which had evidently suffered trauma.
Cops have still not said how McCauley died.
"Tricia was a very strong leader and at the same time a very gentle, compassionate, nurturing person," said Jasmine Chehrazi, who founded the yoga studio where McCauley taught. "She basically embodied the teachings of yoga, which start with ahimsa, which is nonviolence and acts of love."
McCauley was first reported missing after failing to show up for a friend's Christmas dinner.
