Former child star of Family Matters, Darius McCrary is in a very ugly custody battle with his wife Tammy Brawner. Brawner claims that McCrary has been violent with their 16-month-old child, throwing things at her, tying her down, and in one particularly horrifying accusation, dangling her over a pot of boiling water. McCrary has denied all the charges.
TMZ reports that McCrary has denied the charges so hard he has turned them right around and leveled them at Brawner. McCrary now claims that it was Brawner who was abusing him, even using some of the same details she did in initial claims, like saying she threw “picture frames” at him. He is now requesting a restraining order against her, even though a judge already issued one against him for Brawner and their child. This may be a bid to force Brawner to leave their shared house after the same judge ordered him to do so.
McCrary also says that Brawner has attacked him with a knife and he’s called the cops on her three times. He says she’s desperate for attention, having been a former Harlem Globetrotter. It’s interesting that a child star is accusing someone else of being desperate for attention.
