A Colorado teen is under suspicion for killing his girlfriend and then driving hundreds of miles with her body. According to People19-year-old Tanner Flores is facing charges of first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping charges in Larimer, County.

Authorities claim that he shot 18-year-old Ashley Doolittle, his girlfriend and a rising rodeo star, in the head. He then allegedly drove hundreds of miles with her body in his car. He was arrested on June 10.

Doolittle had been reported missing by her family the previous day and her car was found abandoned by a lake. Her family says that she had ended her relationship with Flores, leaving him "upset and distraught."

According to the Loveland Newsthe local paper also covering the story,  Doolittle was in the running to be Boulder County Fair and Rodeo Queen before her death.

Flores has pled not guilty, but his arrest affidavit cites that he was found with Doolittle's body wrapped in a blanket on his deceased grandfather's property. His attorney has filed a motion to evaluate his mental health before the case continues.
