Disturbing Video Shows Man Knock Out Woman, Bystanders Snap Pics Instead Of Calling 911

A witness said one person even took a selfie.

A disturbing video has surfaced showing a woman being assaulted by a man in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — and no one coming to her help. As Daily Mail reported, the surveillance footage shows the unidentified woman walking down the street and a man approaching her. He kicks her in the leg before punching her in the face. She is knocked out, and then he walks away.

The incident is exacerbated when five bystanders walk up to the unconscious woman. Instead of calling 911, the young people pull out their phones to document the moment. According to local news station KDKA, a witness saw one of the bystanders actually lie down beside the woman and take a selfie.

"They actually come back. A kid lays beside her and takes a selfie," the witness told the station.

The witness also said that it appears that the bystanders took the woman's phone: "They didn’t help her. They took what looks like her phone while she’s out cold. Nobody called 911 to help her.”

After the incident, the woman was spotted on Broadway Avenue in Beechview by KDKA. She’s said to be a drug addict with several arrests, specifically on drug charges.

The woman's mother is outraged by what happened.

"They don't treat animals like that. They wouldn't treat a dog that way," the woman's mother said. "It's disgusting. My daughter needs help."

Local police in Pittsburgh are investigating the attack. They believe they have a good lead on the attacker.

The local news has decided not to identify the woman.
