Disturbing Video Shows Teenagers Beating Up Mother Holding 6-Month-Old Baby

“All I could think about was making sure my baby was OK."

A teenager has been arrested after allegedly attacking a Broken Bow, Oklahoma mother while she was holding her 6-month-old son. Last week, a woman was sitting on a swing with her child when she was approached by three girls. The group then assaulted the mom, KSLA reported.

Jeremy McCoy made a video post on Facebook looking for justice for his daughter Janie, the victim. The caption reportedly stated: "Hate to post this of my daughter being assaulted by 2 girls, and nothing has been done yet 5 days later. So please share."

His post, which he has since removed, has been viewed over 6 million times. Other videos of the disturbing attack were posted to YouTube.

Janie, 19, told KLSA that the three girls ran toward her yelling.

“They said that I said something about somebody wanting to fight somebody that I had no idea what they was talking about,” she said.

In the video, Janie can be seen being struck in the face and back. She is also knocked to the ground while holding her son. Crying, Janie is repeatedly hit while trying to flee the situation.

“I told her I didn’t want to fight. I mean, I had my kid,” Janie told KFOR. “But even if I wasn’t holding him, I would not have fought her.”

Though Janie said the attack left her with a busted lip and bruised cheek, her son was not harmed. She said she even took him to a doctor just to be sure.

“All I could think about was making sure my baby was OK,” Janie said. “I wasn’t even worried about fighting back. My baby was in my hands. [...] I tried to walk away and keep walking away. Tried to get over there by his stroller so I could push him really fast or whatever.”
