A Duke University student vanished Sunday morning after attending a party.
Michael Doherty, 20, was last seen around 1:30 a.m. attending a gathering with some friends, according to the Boston Globe.
The missing student’s shirt and a shoe were found near a swampy area close to his parents’ home, according to WBZ-TV. Another shoe was found near a golf course on Monday.
Doherty’s parents called police on Sunday stating that their son had been at a party the night before but had not returned home, reported WHDH.
Investigators have been searching the area with dogs, boats, helicopters and drones for three days.
Doherty is a junior mechanical engineering major and was home for summer break.
“I can’t even imagine what these poor parents are going through, their family, their extended family, the friends, it’s unimaginable,” Franklin Deputy Police Chief James Mills has stated. “We’re doing our very best with all the assets to help recover Michael and find him safely.”
Doherty was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a Nike logo, black pants and sneakers, according to PEOPLE. He is 5′ 10″ with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information should call Franklin Police at 508-528-1212.
