Three women and a child were injured when a family feud over a Facebook post ended in two cars ramming people and an apartment building.
According to a CBS affiliate, the incident took place at a Lawrenceville, Virginia apartment complex on Wednesday afternoon.
"Numerous calls were received also reporting two female drivers, one in a silver 2006 Mitsubishi sedan and the other driving a blue 2005 Honda sedan attempting to hit and chase numerous individuals in the parking lot and that a vehicle hit the apartment building," Brian Roberts, a sheriff, said.
A video of the event shows a chaotic scene: people running as two cars ram into them. One car crashes into the apartment complex.The drivers, Shana Cleaton, 32, and Mortici Thomas, 35, were arrested. Tiffany Hicks, 27 had to be flown to medical center with severe injuries. A relative told CBS 6 that she had no feeling in her left leg.
"Two other individuals were taken to Community Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries," Roberts said in the report. "A child was treated on the scene."
Witnesses stated that the fight was among relatives, triggered by a Facebook post made about a family member. Details about the nature of the social media post and the relationships of the family members have not been released.
Cleaton was charged with felony destruction of property and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the CBS affiliate. Thomas was charged with felony destruction of property and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
