In an incident unrelated to the leaked Justin Bieber nudes from earlier this morning, Northwell Health Hospital in Long Island, New York is now embroiled in a legal battle with an employee who allegedly illegally accessed the pop star's medical information during a visit he made to the facility after injuring his testicle during a soccer game.
According to TMZ, Kelly Lombardo is being accused of looking into Bieber's records without permission after he was admitted to the hospital. Rumors had been circulating that Bieber had sought medical treatment for an STD.
The hospital fired Lombardo, calling her "an immoral employee" who violated a patient's privacy.
Lombardo is filing a wrongful termination suit saying she never accessed his files and had simply heard gossip about the STD from others. She's filed a claim with the New York Division of Human Rights, saying she was discriminated against as a woman.
"[M]y client never accessed Mr. Bieber's medical file and yet she was fired for doing so ... She was falsely accused of doing so on account of her gender," said Lombardo's attorney, David H. Rosenberg.
Sources close to Bieber said the STD rumor is just that: a rumor. He had frequented the hospital after noticing pain in his groin while playing soccer and wondered if he was suffering from a testicular torsion. Doctors examined him and determined his testicle was simply swolen.
Beiber's representatives are not offering a comment on the situation, according to Page Six.
