Four British officers have been fired after they reportedly laughed at her sexual assault allegations. According to The SunRobin Denton, Matthew Neild, Todd Mills and Deanna Waite were fired in Bedfordshire following a misconduct hearing.

The incident happened when a woman reported an incident of sexual assault, including anal rape. She later received a call from the police and overheard one officer reading her statement, while others laughed and made reportedly “disgusting and immoral” comments. They also shamed the victim, alleging that she should have walked away, saying, “If she really don’t want it she would leave”.

“My trust in the police is completely diminished. I was disappointed and upset with the police up to this point but the incident has pushed my emotional and physical health," the victim said in a statement afterward.

Bedford Today explains that the victim recorded the nine-minute phone call, which became part of the complaint against the officers.
