An Iowa man was saved by four of his children after a shed collapsed on him Tuesday morning. Matt Gannaway was tearing down a shed at his mom’s house when it fell on him.
According to an ABC affiliate, his four kids: Ethan 13, Peyton 11, Addison 9, and Kaiden 5, called for help. They also worked as a team to raise the shed up, and drag their unconscious father out before the paramedics arrived.
"My sister was right here, lifting up right here, and I was here pulling on this trying to get him out," Addison said in a Fox affiliate report.
The accident broke Gannaway’s shoulder blade, and left him some cuts. He is expected to make a full recovery.
“I'm extremely proud of them,” Gannaway said of his children. “They did what they were supposed to do, and they knew what they had to do to make sure things were ok. They called 911 first, and then they tried to make sure I was safe."
His son Ethan said,"I'm very happy to see that my dad is ok and made it through it. I don't know what I would have done if he had died."
