A private plane carrying actress Jennifer Lawrence was forced to make an emergency landing over the weekend in Buffalo, New York. According to ABC News, her rep confirms that the star was leaving her hometown, Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday when the landing occurred.

The rep says that one of the private plane's engines failed while mid-flight at 31,000 feet. During the landing, the second engine failed.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released a statement about the incident: "A Hawker Beechcraft B40 aircraft landed safely at Buffalo Niagara International Airport in New York at about 1:40 pm on Saturday," the statement read. "The crew diverted to Buffalo when they declared an emergency due to engine-related issues. The flight was heading to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey from Louisville, Kentucky."

The FAA is currently investigating the incident.
