In October, Burke Ramsey slammed investigators who suggested that he was behind the murder of JonBenet Ramsey with a $150 million dollar lawsuit. Now, Burke is going after the CBS, which aired the documentary using claims from said investigators. This time, he's asking for $750 million.
The controversial special, which aired this fall on CBS, utilized new evidence and heavily implied Burke was behind the murder all along. Burke continues to stand by his innocence and is now claiming he was damaged by the doc. According to TMZ, he's "reportedly asking for $250 mil in compensatory damages and $500 mil in punitive damages."
Dr. Werner Spitz, the private investigator who Burke originally went after, is claiming that individuals should have the freedom to speculate about the murder and noted that he was only sharing an "opinion" — not purported facts — on the case.
CBS has not issued a statement about the suit.
