A home owned by basketball star LeBron James has been vandalized with racial slurs. The LA Times reports the $21 million home, located in the swanky Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, was spray-painted with a racial slur on the front gate.
A source tells the news outlet that the graffiti featured the n-word. LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman says that authorities came to the home yesterday morning to investigate. They are holding off on calling the incident a hate crime until a motive is determined.
NBC News adds that the property is a 9,440-square-foot estate. James purchased it in 2015 for over $20 million.
TMZ reveals that authorities are now looking for security footage from neighbors that may shine a light on the vandals. As James is just one day from beginning the NBA Finals, the site shares that he was likely not at the home during the crime.
